What is ndWILD?

For too long, neurodivergent people have been told we’retoo much.
Too loud. Too different. Too WILD.
We say Yes!

And it’s our WILD that changes the world.

ndWILD is a unifying banner for all neurodivergent identities. Brilliance, connection, visibility, and momentum across communities and countries. Creative, authentic, and uncontained.

ndWILD is dedicated to leading neuroinclusion in workplaces, schools, higher education, events, and social spaces through:

sharing stories from our ND community
raising visibility of neurodivergent experiences
offering free resources, and up to date research
giving information to run neuroinclusive events
connecting the community
recognising organisations and services that are doing neuroinclusion well
amplifying neurodiversity awareness and celebration dates (e.g. Neurodiversity Celebration Week, ADHD Awareness Month, World Autism Acceptance Week, etc)

But what actually is WILD?

WILD is a grass roots, community-led banner created by neurodivergent people to connect and amplify all types of neurodivergence. It celebrates existing events such as ADHD Awareness Month, Neurodiversity Celebration Week, AuDHD Day, ND PRIDE Day, and other events around the world and provides a unifying symbol of connection and resilience.
It is non-profit, non-commercial, and non-exclusionary. There is no ‘right’ way to show up in WILD. Everyone is welcome.
WILD is to neurodivergence what PRIDE is to the queer community – belonging and acceptance.
WILD knows we are not just neurodivergent but we are a smooshing together of many different identities and elements that create a unique intersection for each person. Intersectionality is woven into the heart of WILD.

In 2025, Canberra, Australia by Callie Elward-Barrett, Jayne Gurton and Troy Heland

How can I participate?

Join us and get as many people as you can to share an example of neurodivergent brilliance on socials with #GoWILD and #ndWILD.
Share your story with us so ndWILD can share it with your name or anonymously across our socials or in our newsletter.
Create a local or online event to bring together the neurodivergent community and celebrate the brilliance of our creativity, resilience, and authenticity.
Start telling WILD stories online, on your socials make sure to tag @ndwildglobal and use the hashtags every time.
Tell everyone! Do you know anyone in media, inspirational speakers, maybe even some celebrities who are openly neurodivergent? Invite them to join the movement and #GoWILD on their socials.

How do I make a donation?

WILD is accepting sponsorships and donations via the Official WILD Pride Mardi Gras Humanatix page. All funds raised help Neuroqueer folks attend and celebrate at Mardi Gras.

Is it true WILD is marching in the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade?

You better believe it! On Saturday, February 28, 2026, ndWILD will take to Oxford Street to bring Neurodivergent Pride to the global stage.

Why? Because the intersection between our communities is undeniable. Did you know that neurodivergent people are up to 8 times more likely to identify as LGBTQIA+ than the general population? The intersection is undeniable. For many of us, these aren’t separate identities; we wear both hats every single day. We are launching WILD Pride to celebrate this intersection and ensure that neurodivergent people are seen, heard, and celebrated within the LGBTQIA+ community.

How we march: Our entry, “Unmasking Together,” is a sanctuary in motion. We know neurodivergence isn’t a monolith, some of us need low sensory input to feel safe, while others need to express huge, intense, joyful energy to feel free.

To honour this, we are marching in three unique blocks, LOUD, STEADY, and QUIET. We are building a space where you can choose your comfort and celebrate your whole self, exactly as you are.

The Ritual: We will perform a synchronized “unmasking” ritual. For us, ‘masking’ is the daily exhaustion of hiding our traits to fit in. On parade night, we drop the masks to reveal the Weird, Intense, Loud, and Different brilliance of our community.

Can I run a WILD event?

Yes! We’d love that!

We want you to run WILD events in your workplaces and social places. Send us the details and we will tell you how to make your event WILDly inclusive and accessible, as well as giving you the creative assets to promote your event.
We will share the details of your event on the WILD webpage and socials, so tell us all about it!

IMPORTANT: WILD events are non-profit making, non-negotiable. Any funds raised from tickets, etc go to the talent or contributors to events. Because asking people to give their talent for free is not it!
